Welcome to St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology.  Our goal is to provide the highest level of service by using the latest technology available.  We strive to continually introduce and develop new Imaging techniques to remain in the forefront of this ever changing industry.  Our Radiologists and Technologists are highly skilled and trained in the specialty area in which they work. The Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), and meets all of the standards of quality and safety from The Joint Commission.  The St. Luke’s Women’s Center is the first Imaging site in Houston and Southeast Texas to be accredited in Breast MRI imaging by the American College of Radiology (ACR).  We are proud to be the premier provider of Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional procedures for the world renowned Cooley Transplant Center and the St. Luke’s Center for Liver Disease.

The Department of Radiology, in association with St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System (SLEHS), is totally committed to maintaining the highest standard of care. It is our purpose to provide radiologic services, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, in a safe and efficient manner. We advocate a standard of excellence and technical performance of the highest quality, evidenced by ACR accreditation and technologists registered in their field.
 
In partnership with the Texas Heart® Institute (THI), we are committed to participate in radiology education and research to improve the quality of patient care with the most advanced techniques. We remain committed to teaching residents, fellows, and radiologic technology students through affiliation with recognized universities and colleges in the Houston area.

As SLEHS reaches out into the community, Radiology will provide the necessary clinical and educational services to support these endeavors.

• Safety. Our radiologists follow strict protocols to ensure that necessary diagnostic procedures minimize radiation exposure, keeping it at safe levels without compromising the effectiveness of the test.
• Voice recognition. We use advanced voice-assisted technology that significantly reduces the time required to process imaging results. Radiologists simply dictate their interpretations into a system that automatically recognizes their voice and creates a report.
