The Cardiology Fellowship Program at CHI St. Luke's Health– Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center offers training in four speciality areas: Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Echocardiography. These programs have a limited number of available positions for each academic year.

Fellow Responsibilities
- Pre-operative evaluation and preparation of the patient
- Screening and enrollment of patient in research protocols (assist research staff)
- Pre-operative evaluation of patient data and angiographic anatomy
- Equipment and patient preparation in the catheterization laboratory
- Execution of assigned technical role during procedure
- Post-procedure documentation, orders and patient management in lab
- Completion of database case report forms
- Post-procedural evaluation and management of the patient during inpatient recovery phase
- Collation and preparation of case material for teaching conferences
- Discussion of case issues and completion of case performance evaluation form with supervising attending staff
Research Activities
- Individual research program – developed with staff and research division of THI
- Daily participation in patient screening and enrollment in research protocols
- Daily entry and review of research database case report forms (Appendix D)
